Cilantro Lime Chicken....Crockpot!

The easiest dinner to ever prepare is the one in the crockpot... when all you can think of all day is going home and dinner being prepared and that amazing smell the moment you step foot into your house! I also love crockpot recipes for when I have someone flying in to visit and don't wanna stop for fast food so I am sure to have something prepared for when we arrive home. Although I would cook in it daily I don't have enough recipes to keep it going. As fall and winter start approaching I will say I use it a little more frequently for "Paleo Comfort foods" but for now here is an amazing recipe I snagged from a site I frequently visit for something new and yummy...

Cilantro Lime Chicken
In a crockpot mix together the following
One 24 oz. jar of salsa (Your choice on how hot you want it... we go for medium)
Juice one lime
1 bunch of fresh cilantro, chopped
one pkg taco seasoning
2 jalapeno peppers finely chopped, optional
Add 4 chicken breast halved place in crockpot be sure and coat with salsa mixture.
Place on low 6-8 hours.
Once you arrive home shred chicken stir all together.
I Place them in a lettuce wrap topped with tomatoes and maybe a few jalapenos and there you have it an amazing quick and easy dinner prepared!!!

  4. You totally can. I always tend to buy the natural chicken breasts that aren't frozen... less hormones and preservatives but I know my sister has done it with frozen breasts just be sure and thaw before adding to crockpot. ENJOY!
